FAQ

Batik is a traditional textile art form that uses a wax-resist dyeing technique to create intricate patterns on fabric. It is recognized by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity and is deeply rooted in Indonesian culture.

Our products are directly sourced from skilled artisans and local communities in Indonesia, ensuring authenticity, quality craftsmanship, and fair trade practices.

Every product photo shows the actual handcrafted piece. Some environment scenes — for example a product on a table or in a living room — are created with the help of AI so that you can better picture it in your home. These images are labelled "AI-generated scene". Material, colour and shape correspond to the real product; for one-of-a-kind pieces, pattern and colour gradient may vary slightly.
